Highlights
This safari lets you witness the Great Wildebeest Migration. Over two million wildebeest, zebra, and gazelles move through the Serengeti and Maasai Mara ecosystems in search of green pastures and safe calving ground.
The pattern of movement is highly weather dependent and dynamic, yet with advance planning, you can witness this natural wildlife wonder.
This safari covers other national parks too, where you can witness the resident wildlife.
Itinerary
DAY 1. ARUSHA TO TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK
Tarangire National Park
6 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeOur representative will meet you at the Hotel in Arusha for the short briffing before you depart to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch. We set out for Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. As we zip along, we pass many Maasai in their colorful dress walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle and driving donkey’s carts. Tarangire National Park, well known for its large elephant herds, is also host to a multitude of other creatures. From the open roof of our state-of-the-art safari jeep, we experience the seasonal swamps, savanna and life-giving Tarangire River, endeavoring to encounter a multitude of creatures, from zebra to wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, to name a few. Day 2 Karatu to Serengeti National Park

8 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeThe excitement for today will be quite high as you make your way into the most celebrated wildlife park in the world – The Serengeti. After finishing up a good breakfast, you will head out towards the Serengeti National Park and travel in the midst of the never-ending plain grasslands. Serengeti, means endless plains in the local African language and watching the grassland stretch out as far as the eye can see and eventually merging with the sky at the horizon is an absolutely breathtaking view. The Serengeti also houses the glorious “Big 5” (elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard). Along with the “Big 5”, a very pleasant sighting would be one of Africa’s most beautiful animals – The Impala. A picnic lunch will be served during the game drive. Day 3 & 4 Serengeti National Park to Ndutu Area

12 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeAfter breakfast you will depart with packed lunches to Ndutu area, you will spend two days here. Ndutu forms a part of the route for the annual migration of more than 2 million wildebeests and thousands of zebras, antelope and gazelle. During game drives at the right season between December and April, you will be able to see the fertile plains turn into calving grounds and nursery for the great migration. The action-packed game drive will end late in the evening by around 6 pm. Day 5 Ndutu Area to Ngorongoro Crater

7 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeAn early breakfast then departs from Ndutu area to Ngorongoro and descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. After the game drive, there will be time for a picnic lunch near the beautiful hippo Lake. Day 6 Karatu to Kilimanjaro Airport
