Start the tour with jeep and You’ll visit landmarks like the abandoned, centuries-old village of Kuldhara, jessiri pond (oasis middle of thar desert) before continuing to the golden dunes of the Thar Desert.
It’s an overnight desert experience where you sleep outdoors on sand dunes, with no roof above you—just the open sky under the stars. Far from city lights, the desert offers incredibly clear views of stars, constellations, and sometimes even the Milky Way.
You reach the dunes by camel safari usually in the late afternoon
As the sun sets, there’s time to tea and snacks, relax, take photos, and enjoy the silence. Camel man make traditional fresh food on wood fire, and after the dinner sleep under the stars and enjoy the starry night on charpais (cots) or thick mattresses. Warm blankets (desert nights can get chilly, especially in winter). Deep silence, broken only by desert winds.
The next morning—after tea, breakfast you’ll return to your hotel.

Salim Singh, the then Diwan (minister) of Jaisalmer, allegedly sought to marry the daughter of the village chief. When the villagers refused, he threatened them with severe consequences. To protect their honor, the villagers, along with those from 83 neighboring hamlets, fled, cursing the land to remain desolate forever. The village's eerie silence and abandoned structures have fueled numerous ghost stories. Visitors and paranormal enthusiasts report hearing voices, feeling sudden chills, and witnessing unexplained phenomena. In 2013, a Delhi-based paranormal team claimed their drone malfunctioned over the village, attributing it to supernatural interference.Jaseri pond
