On this 2 day hiking and kayaking trip you set out from the picturesque colonial town of Paraty by fastboat and spend the night in cabins in Mamangua Bay, only accessible by sea. On this two day trip to Mamangua, known as Brazil's only tropical fjord, we pack in the snorkeling, hiking and paddling highlights. We leave Paraty by fastboat stopping on the way at the best snorkeling point next to Cocos Island. We then hike up the Mamangua Sugarloaf. After a peaceful night's sleep in your bayside ensuite accommodation we paddle the mangrove at the back of the bay observing the wildlife. The delicious local seafood lunch is prepared by a family that actually live in the mangrove! This tour is suitable active people with little or no kayaking experience who want to explore the highlights of Mamangua. Highlights of this lodge-based trip include the spectacular views from the top of the Mamangua Sugarloaf Peak and observing wildlife while exploring the tropical Mangrove by kayak.
