Distance from Hanoi city (or from Noi Bai International Airport) to Ninh Binh is approximate 110 kilometers and it takes about 2 hours driving each way.

Car was clean and driver was friendly. He was very responsive and helpful. He couldn’t speak much English, so don’t expect a guide, but we got by with Good translate! Overall enjoyable experience.
While the car was clean and comfortable, the overall experience left much to be desired. The driver spoke minimal English and we had to rely on Google Translate for communication throughout the journey. This made it challenging to clarify details or ask questions about the trip. Additionally, the driver strongly suggested taking the shortest route for the Trang An boat ride, which seemed like he wanted us to finish quickly. This left me wondering if the driver was trying to mislead us or was simply unfamiliar with the options available. While the journey itself was smooth, the lack of effective communication and the mixed signals about the boat route significantly impacted our overall experience. I recommend improving driver training, especially in communication skills and ensuring they have accurate knowledge to better support travellers.
