  • Chion-in Yuzen-en Chion-in Yuzen-en was renovated and built in 1957 to commemorate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Miyazaki Yuzen, the founder of Yuzen dyeing. The area consists of a pond-style garden that draws spring water from Higashiyama, and the dry landscape of Deer Park.     Prefecture, Japan, built by Nobuhiro Shonin around 778 (the 9th year of
    Hakuki). The mountain of Kiyomizu Temple is called Otowa Mountain, where the
    Thousand-Armed Avalokitesvara is mainly enshrined. It originally belonged to
    the Hosso sect but has now become independent and the head temple of the
    Northern Hosso sect. It has frequently appeared in Japanese literary works
    since the Heian period. In 1994, Kiyomizu-dera Temple was listed as a World
    Cultural Heritage as part of the cultural heritage of the ancient capital of
    Kyoto.
