Copán Ruins — The centrepiece of the day. Wander the Great Plaza and its iconic stelae — the most intricately carved in the Maya world. Hieroglyphic Stairway, one of the longest pre-Columbian texts ever found. Then go underground through the excavation tunnels that reveal construction layers hidden beneath the main pyramids.
