SG60 may have kicked off with National Day celebrations, but the excitement isn’t over yet.

From $60 dining deals to the SG60 logo splashed across everything - think takeaway coffee cups and even curry puff-themed socks from heritage icons like Old Chang Kee - Singapore’s turning 60 in style.

And one of the biggest highlights beyond the promos and SG60 vouchers? Starting 1 September, it’s the launch of the SG Culture Pass.

But what exactly is it? And how do you use those $100 credits on Pelago?

This guide breaks it all down - so you don’t have to waste any more time Googling... or talking to ChatGPT.

So, What Is the SG Culture Pass?

Well, you might’ve seen Prime Minister Lawrence Wong addressing Parliament earlier this February during Budget 2025.

But if you didn’t, no worries - the YouTube clip of him introducing the SG Culture Pass is right below:

Basically, the SG Culture Pass is a national initiative by the Ministry of Culture, Community, and Youth (MCCY) to give Singapore’s arts and heritage scene a well-deserved boost.

From 1 September 2025, three million eligible Singapore citizens aged 18 and above will each receive SGD 100 in credits.

Eligibility:

  • Singapore Citizens born on or before 31 December 2007

  • Must be a Singapore Citizen as of 31 December 2024

The good news?

You can use those credits to offset ticket purchases for eligible local arts and heritage experiences.

And yes, Pelago by Singapore Airlines is a proud partner of the SG Culture Pass.

That means you can use your Culture Pass credits for museum exhibitions, performances, and special events - all through the Pelago platform.

Best of all? The credits are valid till 31 December 2028. So you’ve got plenty of time to explore whatever catches your eye.

How Do I Redeem SG Culture Pass Credits?

Now on to the practicalities.

Redeeming your SG Culture Pass credits is simple. Start by watching the video below for a step-by-step walkthrough of the profile setup process:

  1. Visit the official SG Culture Pass website (www.sgculturepass.gov.sg) and complete a quick one-time profile setup.

  2. Log in with your Singpass for verification.

  3. Check that your personal and contact details are correct.

  4. Answer a yes-or-no question about whether you’ve attended any local arts or heritage activities in the past five years.

  5. Enter your email address to stay updated on upcoming events and activities.

  6. Click “Complete Profile” to finish the setup.

And voilà - your Culture Pass credits will be successfully redeemed!

Once that’s done, refer to the infographic below for a quick guide on how to use your credits to book events:

  • Choose an event that catches your eye.

  • Select your preferred date, time, and seats.

  • At checkout, select “SG Culture Pass” as your payment option.

  • Not enough credits? Just top up the balance with PayNow or your credit card.

Just remember: stay vigilant about scams. Avoid clicking on unofficial links or sharing personal information with unverified sources.

Need help? You can always call the 24/7 ScamShield helpline at 1799, or reach the SG Culture Pass Help Centre at 6338 3632.

Or got a dodgy text? You can send a screenshot straight to the ScamShield app to verify.

So, where can you actually use your SG Culture Pass credits?

Pretty much across a whole mix of experiences, like:

  • Live performances like musicals, plays, and concerts

  • Art showcases and exhibitions

  • Visits to museums and art galleries

  • Hands-on cultural workshops

  • Guided heritage walks, tours, and traditional festivals

So yes - places like the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre, Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Nam Hwa Opera, and the Visual Arts Centre are all included.

And it doesn’t stop there. You can also use your Culture Pass credits for literary events like the Singapore Writers Festival 2025, and theatre productions like The Emperor’s New Clothes by Wild Rice.

Getting access to all this while saving on ticket costs? That’s a no-brainer.

Even better - you’ll get to explore the city like a local, and maybe even stumble across something you’ve never tried before.

We’ve put together a list of the best ways to use your SG Culture Pass in the section below - plus some ideas on how to stretch those credits for maximum fun.

Best Things to Do With the SG Culture Pass

Think it’s hard to use SGD 100 worth of credits?

Think again.

There are plenty of great programmes and experiences available for SG Culture Pass credits - all bookable through selected ticketing partners like Pelago.

Here are some of the best SG Culture Pass offerings Singaporeans can look forward to:

1. Haw Ror Villa 4!

If there’s one ultra-hype activity on the SG Culture Pass list, it’s this.

Haw Ror Villa 4! - the fourth edition of this cult-favourite Halloween event - is back this October.

And unlike Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights, the ghosts and horror here are all locally themed. Any Singaporean will tell you that instantly levels up the scare factor.

This year’s theme is “The Final Journey”, with two main experiences to scare your socks off.

First up: an Escape Room inside Hell’s Museum, where you’ll solve puzzles while getting ambushed by scare actors (how stressful).

Then there’s The Villa Has Eyes - an interactive ghost tour where you help solve a murder mystery by "interacting" with spirits.

2. Celebrating Singaporean Arts Through Batik Clay Work

One of the best SG Culture Pass activities on Pelago? That’d be getting hands-on with some epic batik art and clay work.

If you’ve always loved batik-inspired patterns (who doesn’t, really?), this workshop is right up your alley.

You’ll learn cool stuff like clay conditioning, colour blending, and imprinting techniques using simple tools.

Best of all, you don’t need any experience - and kids aged five and up can join in too.

3. Nostalgic Workshops SG60

Ever feel a tinge of nostalgia when you walk past the Toa Payoh dragon playground?

Or find yourself missing the good ol’ days - like when SBS buses had no air-con and you had to angle the windows just right?

This old school workshop might just be your thing.

You’ll get to paint a traditional kopitiam cup, along with ang ku kueh trinkets, a two-tier mini tingkat, and an old-school vacuum flask - all the retro vibes, no experience needed.

4. Jazz Age Dance Workshop

Why use the SG Culture Pass just to watch the performing arts when you can learn it yourself?

Dance lovers (or aspiring dancers) wondering how to make the most of their SGD 100 can check out the Jazz Age Dance Workshop.

You’ll be moving and grooving to the beats of the Roaring Twenties - think New Orleans jazz and Charleston dance.

If you’ve always been a fan of Fitzgerald’s iconic novel The Great Gatsby, this one’s a must-try.

5. Craft Heritage Jewellery Workshop

You don’t have to be a Crazy Rich Asian to enjoy a little bling.

And one of the best workshops for the SG Culture Pass? That’d be beadweaving with high-quality Japanese Miyuki beads.

You can craft bracelets or necklace charms (perfect for beginners) - or our favourite: putting together some kueh-inspired beadwork.

We’re talking the deep reds of ang ku kueh and the gorgeous blues of pulut inti.

6. Singapore Food-Themed Clay Workshop

What’s Singapore’s national sport? Queuing up and eating at hawker centres, of course.

So it only makes sense that a local food-themed clay workshop is in order.

In this ultra-fun activity - which you can book with your SG Culture Pass credits on Pelago - you’ll learn to craft clay versions of iconic local snacks.

Think kaya toast, ang ku kueh, and those retro iced gem biscuits that were basically every Singaporean’s childhood in one tin.

7. Art Jamming

In need of a massive de-stress sesh?

Well, your SG Culture Pass credits have got you covered.

Channel your inner Da Vinci and let your creativity shine at a free-flow art session with zero judgement.

Here, self-expression is the goal - all you’ve got to do is paint your heart out.

Sounds like a perfect way to spend your SGD 100 credits, if you ask us.

8. The Feast Of Fury - Chinatown Puzzle Hunt

So, you’ve been there, done that in Chinatown - including your not-so-guilty secret of queuing for Lim Chee Guan during CNY.

But we bet you’ve never experienced Chinatown like this.

As one of the featured experiences of SG Culture Pass, this puzzle hunt delivers a totally unexpected twist.

Join Pepper the dinosaur as you navigate shophouses and narrow alleys.

Your mission? Defeat the food thief Nian Monster by cracking Escape Room-style clues and challenges along the way.

9. UV Resin Mahjong Making Workshop

While mahjong may have originated in China, it’s now ultra-Singaporean.

And we know more than a few folks who get seriously excited at the thought of playing a round.

If you’re one of them, you’ll love the UV resin mahjong making workshop, where you get to craft your very own mahjong tile charms.

Create keychains or bag tags, and customise your tiles with your name, lucky characters, or anything that brings good vibes.

10. Singapore Music Masala 2025

Can’t complete this list without a concert, can we?

Drum fans - especially those who can spend hours watching Drumeo on YouTube - are in for a treat.

The Singapore Music Masala blends Chinese, Malay, Indian, and world music traditions, with an orchestra and percussionists coming together for a drum spectacle you won’t forget.

Oh, and you’ll also get to catch Paskaran Sreekaram, a two-time Guinness World Record holder for non-stop drumming. And trust us, you’ve never seen anything like it.
