Highlights
This is the deepest lake in the area, its depth its 97m deep and covers 4.2km square kilometer. It is the result of the volcanic activity and its roughly 250000 years old. The lake is 75% in Tanzania and 25% Kenya. There is a lot of good nature you can find around the lake from the bedrock which is the result of the volcanic activity. Also the lake is home to unique birds and fishes which can only be found on this lake in the world.
Itinerary
Lake Chala
Here you will have great views of the Lake. Then we have a walk to the lake which should take like 15 minutes. There you can do kayaking around the lake which should take about an hour long, you can swim if you want or enjoy the views of the lake. After the lake visit we will take a walk to the bedrocks of the lake and to the view point where you can see Lake Jipe, Kilimanjaro if the weather permits.
