Guachimontones: A Pre-Hispanic Treasure


Located an hour west of Guadalajara, Guachimontones is a pre-Hispanic site in Jalisco, central to the Teuchitlán Tradition. Flourishing between 200 and 400 AD, it features stepped cylindrical structures, ball courts, and terraces. Known for its concentric circular design, it housed up to 40,000 inhabitants at its peak.
