We drive for 32 miles to the Sacred Mayan City of Altun Ha. The guide will narrate the natural history of the country on the drive. At the site you explore the Maya ruins for one hour and a half taking pictures and climbing the ancient pyramids . After the tour of the Maya site we continue on our country side tour to the caves. There you get into your swim trunks/suits and gear up for a 25 minute jungle walk . The guide connects your tubes and navigate you into the Maya underworld(caves) floating through the passage of time in the darkness in the underworld wearing a headlamp. You will see beautiful stalagmites and stalactites formations and listen to the echo of an underground waterfall and perhaps a mystical cry in a distance. You better Belize it!
