Highlights
The site of political scheming, bloody beheadings, and the home of the Crown Jewels, the Tower of London is a terrific place to spend a fascinating – and slightly eerie – day. From May 2025, visitors will also have the chance to experience the Medieval Palace as never before. Following a major refurbishment, the newly reopened display will explore stories of the kings and queens who shaped and lived at the Tower, as well as the households who served them and the fascinating world they inhabited.

Metro: District or Circle line to Tower Hill
Train: Any train to Fenchurch Street (5-min walk) or London Bridge (15-min walk)
Bus: 15, 42, 78, 100 or RV1
The Tower is located within easy walking distance of several London Underground and national train stations including: 5 mins from Tower Hill Underground station – served by the District and Circle lines and step free access to street level. 10-15 mins from Monument, Bank, Aldgate, Aldgate East London Underground stations
10-15 mins from London Bridge and Fenchurch Street stations 20 min from Liverpool Street station 25 mins from London Charing Cross station

Smoking, eating, and drinking are prohibited within all buildings, except designated refreshment areas
