Highlights
Rafting in Sri Lanka is one of the most thrilling experiences. This whitewater rafting section of the Kelani River is suitable for amateurs as well as professionals. During the river run you will experience the thrill of shooting rapids and the euphoria of making it through. You don't require a higher degree of rafting skills or swimming experience as the rapids of Kalani River are graded as 2 and 3. Some of the rapids of the Kalani River are named with unique names such as Virgin’s Breast, Killer Falls, Butter Crunch and Head Chopper.

1 hoursAdmission Ticket Free10:00 Arrive in Kitulgala and meet your rafting guide before collecting your rafting gears to proceed with a memorable whitewater rafting experience. 10:30: Your guide will brief all rafting procedures and safety requirements before commencing the tour. 10:45: Experience White Water Rafting in the picturesque Kelani River in Kitulgala covering 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids. The distance covered is around 5 KM. The river and its surrounding will make you feel enchanted, with a memorable experience during your White Water Rafting Tour in Kitulagala. 12:00: Reach your end point and get ready to enjoy your lunch at a river side restaurant. 14:00: After Lunch, you can proceed back to your next destination.

We booked the tour for 5km rafting + lunch + transport from and back to Kandy. The rafting was super fun and safe, thanks to Mendis! Tharaka and the team were always available and helpful on whatsapp to coordinate and arrange. The lunch was very good, with local food. The transport with Supun was very smooth and safe. Absolutely recommended! Would definitely come back.
