Highlights
Namobuddha, a beautiful destination located in Kavre district and about 40 km southeast from Kathmandu valley. The serene hills of Namobuddha is protected by Thrangu Tashi Yangtse Monastery, holiest of Monasteries for Buddhists. Get lost and find peace in the scenic mountain ranges at the backdrop of the monastery.

Itinerary
Return and back trip: Kathmandu - Namobuddha - Kathmandu
We will pick you up from Kathmandu hotel upto Namobuddha.
Namobuddha
Located 40 kilometers southeast of Kathmandu, Namobuddha is one of the most important Buddhist pilgrimage sites south of the Himalayas, as well as being one of the holiest Buddhist sites in the world. Overcome with compassion, the prince allowed the tigress to consume him and thereby feed her cubs. A small shrine a few minutes walk uphill from the stupa contains statues of the prince together with the tigress and her cubs. The stupa and shrines built in this lovely little hill mark a very ancient holy site which signifies the place where a legendary prince named Mahasattva offered himself to a starving tigress with several underfed cubs. This legendary episode is depicted in a very nice stone slab which is right next to a holy stupa.
We will drop you back to hotel on the same day.
