It was great, very smooth to check in for the actual ride. However, to my surprise I was given a timing to come down which was not chosen by me; it was only 1 hour + time given us! This should not have been an automatic choice by Pelago, and they should have go given us the option to choose our return trip, just like on the official Gondola site.

Banff Gondola is an absolute must when you are around. The view is spectacular with mountains as tall as 3.000m all around. Make sure to go up early as it will be pretty busy already at 11:00 a.m. The earlier you are up there, the more you can enjoy the view and maybe even grab one of those chairs next to the fireplace outside. Mind you the Pelago ticket must be exchanged at the Banff Gondola ticket office for an official ticket that allows entry. And the ride down is automatically prebooked 1h 20 past the ride up. That is, however, not a problem as it gives you ample of time to go about on top of Sulphur Mountain.

There’s quite a few things to do at the top. Nice fire pits to chill by, a cinematic experience about banff, a short hike on the broad walk (1hr return) and some restraints and cafes. Good vantage point over banff. Especially liked the descriptive boards that showed what mountains and peaks we were looking at.
