Highlights

This is a winter-only activity where you walk around the Shinhotaka Ropeway area using snowshoes.
You can enjoy spectacular winter scenery and play in the snow amid magical snowy mountains.
The tour also allows you to explore forests that are normally off-limits.
In the vast nature of Shinhotaka, you may even come across many animal footprints.


This plan includes tickets for both the First Ropeway and the Second Ropeway.
Ride the skeleton-type First Ropeway and Japan’s only double-decker gondola on the Second Ropeway to enjoy an aerial journey up to an altitude of 2,156 meters.
Experience the overwhelming natural beauty of the Northern Japan Alps and the world above the clouds.


From the rooftop observation deck at Nishihotakaguchi Station, a majestic panoramic view unfolds before you.

Itinerary

  • 【Snowshoe】 9:30 Check-in, changing, and guidance (Shirakabadaira Station 1F TSUMUGI STORE) 10:00 Snowshoe tour starts 11:30 Tour ends 【Ropeway Operating Hours】 • First Ropeway (ride time: approx. 4 minutes): departs at 00 and 30 minutes past each hour • Second Ropeway (ride time: approx. 7 minutes): departs at 15 and 45 minutes past each hour

Restrictions
Adults: Ages 13 to 65
Children: Ages 10 to 12 (elementary school students)
*Children under 10 years old cannot participate.
Required items to bring & attire
Gloves (simple work gloves are sufficient)
Knit hat
Goggles or sunglasses
Inner wear (as a change of clothes if you sweat)
Drinks (for hydration during the tour)
Requirements
Winter equipment such as studless tires is required.
The check-in location for the snowshoe tour is “TSUMUGI STORE” on the 1st floor of Shirakabadaira Station, which you will reach after riding the First Ropeway.
For security purposes, you may be required to authenticate using a One-Time Password (OTP). If this occurs, please follow the steps below:
1. Enter the email address where you wish to receive the OTP and press the send button.
2. Check the email you provided for the OTP. (Please also check your spam folder. If you do not find the email, it is possible that the email address was entered incorrectly. Please reopen the E-ticket URL and re-enter your email address.)
3. Enter the OTP from the received email into the ticket screen and press the confirm button. If entered correctly, the E-ticket will be displayed.
*Note: After OTP authentication, future OTPs will be sent to the email address you provided. This email address cannot be changed, so please ensure you use an email address that you can access on the day of the event.
