Though it is a very early start to the day, boating down the Ganges River during sunrise is one of the main attractions in Varanasi. According to the Hindu mythology, Varanasi liberates soul from human body from the cycle of birth and rebirth. It is the Ganga Ghats of Varanasi that complement the concept of divinity.

The ghats on the River are full of pilgrims who flock to the sacred river to take a dip in the holy Ganges, which is believed to absolve one from all sins. Watching people come down to river in the early morning, taking a bath in the mother Ganga, performing rituals, worshiping the Sun is a very special experience. As you sail, you also pass the many temples built on the banks, old buildings, ashrams and palaces which look as colorful as a rainbow when the sunlight hits them. There is a certain timelessness that is hard to describe.
