Highlights

A city that was born in 1549 has a lot of history to tell. The country's first capital, land of Caramuru and Paraguay, will surprise you every meter. A tour that leads you to know the main historical sites of the ancient São Salvador, such as the Farol da Barra and the Pelourinho, one of the richest urban complexes of Portuguese origin implanted in high relief of the city.


Tips: Enjoy to take beautiful photos during the walk, except in churches, where the use of flash is not allowed. We recommend wearing light clothes and shoes without heels to walk in Pelourinho (church fees not included).

    Pelourinho is closely linked to the foundation of Salvador and to the development of Brazil in the colonial era, it is the best known part of the Historic Center of Salvador which, in addition to Pelourinho, also encompasses the region of Sé, Pilar and the neighborhood of Santo Antônio Além do Carmo.
