Highlights
The Taita Hills lie to the south of Tsavo West and on the fertile land in the saddles between the main peaks the Taita tribe grow a variety of vegetables.
On the plains below the hills the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary has been established and is home to elephant, lion, oryx, lesser kudu and a wide variety of smaller animals. The variety of animals which live in this small 110 sq. km sanctuary are often easier to spot .

5 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedPick up from your hotel at around 6.00 am driving along Mombasa- Nairobi highway. Drive to taita hills game sanctuary with a short break on the way. Arrive to Taita hills with a game drive en-route to Saltlick Game Lodge for check in & Lunch. After lunch proceed with a game drive till 6.30 pm where you will drive back to Saltlick Game Lodge for dinner and overnight Taita Hills wild life sanctuary covers an area of 24,000 Ha. Physical attractions include thorny bushes, acacia forests, arid and savannah, swamp and Taita hills among others. Animals found here include elephants, lions, cheetah, zebras, giraffes, different types of birds like (ostriches, hornbills, guinea fowls, king fishers, weaver birds etc).Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary
3 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedWake up at around 5.30 am, have a cup of coffee and start an early morning game drive before the main breakfast. This time you have a chance of seeing the big cats of Taita Hills. Back to the lodge for the main breakfast at around 8.30 am followed by a game drive en route as you check out of Taita hills. You will have lunch on the way back to Mombasa. You will be arriving at Mombasa late afternoon and we drop you at your desired destination.
