This particular tour will discover Kharkhorin (ancient capital Karakorum), the Orkhon Valley, and Elsen Tasarkhai ( Semi-Gobi ) on a 2-day all inclusive private journey. We attached picture of your accommodation which will be very modern ger (yurt) with private toilet and shower. We work with the best tourist camps in Kharkorum.
Itinerary
- Along the way, ride a 2-humped camel, see wild horses, tour the Semi-Gobi sand dunes
- Orkhon Valley is historically significant beautiful place, travelers will enjoy one night
at high quality ger camp in river valley.
- Discover Mongolia’s sweeping plains, at night travelers can enjoy star gazing
- In Kharkhorum travelers will explore Orkhon Valley, visit Kharkhorum Museum, and
see Erdene Zuu Monestary.

First Day
1. Pick up from hotel in Ulaanbaatar
2. Lunch at Nomadic Family in Semi-Gobi
3. Semi Gobi (Elsen Tasarhai) tour
4. Explore Orkhon River Valley
5. Overnight stay at ger (yurt) camp with private toilet.
- We also offer hotel room in Kharkorum instead of ger ( yurt )
Second Day
1. Kharkhorin Museum tour
2. Erdene Zuu Monastery tour
3. Modern Kharkhorin town tour
4. Explore Orkhon Valley Civilization
5. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar (4-5 hour drive)

Great overnight trip to the orkhon valley with our guide Iggy. His many stories made the long road journey between ulaanbaatar and kharkhorin very enjoyable. We took regular breaks at road stops with full service restaurants and coffee bars and clean bathrooms. His car was clean and spacious and he was a very safe driver. He accompanied us and explained each site we visited. Overnight accommodation was a tourist ger resort with en suite modern bath and buffet diner and breakfast.
