Highlights

The Simatai Great Wall is a section of China’s Great Wall, located between Miyun District of Beijing and Luanping County of Chengde City, Hebei Province. It is known as one of the steepest and most spectacular parts of the Great Wall, stretching 5.4 kilometers from Wangjing Tower in the east to Houchuankou in the west. Originally built during the Northern Qi Dynasty, the existing structure was reconstructed during the Ming Dynasty.

Requirements
1. Simatai Great Wall Daytime Opening Hours: 9:00–17:00; Ticket Checking: 9:00–15:00 (visitors must exit by 16:30). The Great Wall shuttle departs at 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, and 15:00. Please plan your visit accordingly.
2. Open Area: Watchtower 1 – Watchtower 10
3. Ticket Checking Location: At the Simatai Great Wall ticket office entrance (opposite the electric cart station outside Gubei Water Town). After verification, take the dedicated shuttle to the wall entrance; return shuttles depart from the exit back to the ticket office.
4. Ticket re-checking is required at the exit. Please keep your electronic QR code safe.
5. Tickets are valid for single entry on the day of visit and will be deactivated after use.
6. If you cannot open your QR code on the day of visit, please contact on-site staff or call customer service for assistance.
7. Refund Policy: Partial refunds are not available. Unused tickets may be refunded before 24:00 on the date of visit; no refunds will be processed afterward.
8. Please read the “Beijing Miyun · Gubei Water Town (Simatai Great Wall) International Tourism Resort Visitor Notice” carefully and follow all relevant laws and regulations.
9. Pets are not allowed in the scenic area.
