We hold wine tastings of Spanish wine accompanied by food at the the restaurant on the first floor above Seville´s oldest bar, El Rinconcillo. The bar was opened in 1670 and is as well worth a visit as many of the city´s other monuments. The restaurant preserves as much of the original decor as possible, including the bare brick walls and the beamed ceilings. In our tastings we normally combine wines from the Jerez region with Spanish red and white wines. During the tasting we talk about the different wine regions, the grapes used and how the wines are made, with particular emphasis on the unique ageing process of the authentic sherry-style wines. The wines will be accompanied by acorn-fed Iberian ham , fine prawns from the Huelva coastline, an excellent meat dish, Spanish cheese and typical desserts. The dishes are chosen as great matches for the different wines. If for any reason,you would prefer other dishes served with the wine, please do not hesitate to ask. Also, we can vary the wines to suit your wishes
