As my flight arrive in the afternoon, it was a breeze to find the counter and redemption is fast. Immediate use of token to take the MRT.

On the whole smooth. Worth taking the express train for more comfort and saving time. Signage in Taipei is good, and there are elevators at most stations if you are encumbered with luggage. Transfers can involve a long walk.
Easy redemption and smooth travel on High Speed rail. The EazyCard with credits is just enough for 5 days of public transport for us, we were surprised that no top-up needed until our last day in Taipei. On top of that, this card is retainable, it does not expire until 20yrs later! Bonus: we can top up when we return to Taiwan.

Easy to redeem. It was easy to find the counter, right in front of the entrance to the train gantry. The Easycard is a must have. You need it for all metro, bus and train rides.
