Well managed trip , we travelled with our parents .

We left Kota Kinabalu in a rain storm, to be honest it was a miracle we made it to the river cruise as the driver was driving so fast for the conditions. The speed limit was at times 30 but he was doing 90. At one point he nearly lost control of the vehicle as we hit a patch of water. We went on a road that was actually closed to traffic but it was a short cut! Think he saw it as a challenge to overtake everything in front of him, even if vehicles were coming towards us. We finally arrived at the river and were given tea and cakes. We then got onto our boat and went looking for the wildlife. We saw lots of monkeys and the guides were very knowledgeable about them. Back to the boat yard for dinner which was good, after dinner it was time to go and hunt for the fire flies, shortly after leaving the dock we came across them, great experience would definitely recommend but maybe get a taxi or use a different company so you don’t have the same travel experience.
