This is the most pure inland hike available in Costa Rica. Feel the excitement of going through rivers, hiking on beautiful mountain trails, going into the dense jungle for hours, having the most scenic volcano and lake views and experiencing the rural lifestyle in a totally secluded valley. Once we arrive at the mountain cabin you get thrown back in time cooking on a wood fire stove, enjoying the pure food and the company at the candle lit table. Having spend the night we get going to finish the leg of the hike that takes us to Monteverde. 5 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeAfter our typical breakfast and a refreshing mountain water shower we pack our things for the second leg of the hike. Climbing our way out of the valley we get back to the main trail. As we continue the trail changes into a somewhat wider country road. Where on the first day we were immersed in the forest we are now enjoying idyllic Costa Rican farmland and its breathtaking panoramic views. Further up, we see dense forest that, due to the conquered altitude difference, has the characteristics of the typical cloud forest that Monteverde is famous for. We walk till we get to Santa Elena town where your main luggage will be waiting for you.- Food And DrinksBreakfast - Gallo pinto (baked rice and beans) with fresh eggs accompanied by great coffee. All made freshly on the classic stove.
