Had such a great time on this tour! Our guide Ron was fantastic from start to finish — friendly, warm, and clearly very knowledgeable about Peranakan culture and the history of the area. He explained everything clearly and was able to go beyond the standard itinerary whenever we had questions, which really added depth to the experience. What I appreciated most was how flexible Ron was — he adjusted the route and pacing based on what we were most interested in, so it never felt like a rigid, scripted tour. It felt personal and tailored to us. I came away having learned so much I didn't know before, and got to experience the Joo Chiat vibe and Peranakan heritage in a way that felt authentic and engaging.
