No issues at all. It can be exchanged for the physical ticket at Kyoto station for any date within validity. Make sure to have your passport.

Not recommended! Triple the travel Time! The pass is cheap comparing to other train pass (eg JR) but the travel time takes too long as there are too many stops. The rail route is not a direct route and it’s much longer in traveling time!
