My only mistake was, I only booked the Forbidden City entrance ticket without booking for the Tiananmen Square. It was very difficult to secure the ticket there. So I suggest for travelers considering visiting Forbidden City, purchase the package with Tiananmen Square since you are already in that area.
This is a legitimate way to purchase ticket to Forbidden City. Although slightly more expensive than through the official channels, it’s worth it to be able to book in advance. Smooth entry to the attraction. Highly recommended.
