"Devetashkata peshtera" is a karst cave, an amazing natural phenomenon, located about 20 km from the town of Lovech. The rock bridge has 7 openings on its ceiling which make the scenery illuminated a mesmerizing. There are 11 underground lakes as well as a small river that runs through. Also15 kinds of bats and several other protected species of birds. According to archaeologists, Devetàshka was inhabited in prehistoric times, as early as 70,000 BC. It was used as food storage and shelter.

Prohodna cave a.k.a. The God's eyes cave is the best known attraction in the Karlukovo Gorge, part of one of the largest karst regions in Bulgaria and a popular location for speleology and climbers.
