  On the way, stop in Tokmok town (80km) to have a glance at the famous Burana Tower. This ancient structure was built in the 11th century to serve as a watching tower and is therefore quite worth your visit. Here we’ll spend about 30 minutes enjoying a superb view from the top of the tower, walking around to see balbals (gravestones with depictions) and visiting the archaeology museum. Resuming the road.

• Konorchek Canyons

  Visiting the picturesque Konorchek canyon for a light but awesome hike with some otherworldly views. Lunch on the way.

• Song Kol Lake

  Arrival at Son Kol through the serpentine mountain passes. Now it’s time to explore the lake itself, its green pastures and the landscape. Horseback riding on the alpine meadows. Dinner. Bonfire time and stargazing. Overnight in yurts (traditional Kyrgyz dwelling).
