As you arrive at the fort, you will see a seemingly endless flight of stairs going up the fort. Climbing these stairs, one almost feels as if the fort is a living entity, whispering tales of its colourful past. Lots of Langurs (white-bodied monkeys with a black face) have now taken up residence in the fort. While the monkeys are supposedly friendly, it’s best not to get too close to them. The fort premises also include lots of temples, including Hindu and Jain ones.
The most famous of these temples is dedicated to Lord Ganesha and it attracts hordes of pilgrims every year. The entire excursion will take around 2.5 hours.
