“Yuzuri,” a popular restaurant in Abashiri, offers a special program twice a month. Owner Saito, who has served as the head chef at a hotel in Abashiri for many years, will demonstrate cooking techniques using local seafood. Participants will have the opportunity to observe the chef's knife skills and learn tips for preparing Japanese dishes.
After the demonstration, guests can experience making marinated salmon roe (ikura no shoyu-zuke) or marinated oysters (kaki no oil-zuke), depending on the season. The program concludes with a tasting of Yuzuri's signature Japanese cuisine, featuring seasonal ingredients from the Sea of Okhotsk.
