Upon reaching Kanyakumari first visit the 3000 year old Kumari Amman Temple situated on the seashore. The giant stone statue stands like the Colossus of Rhodes. It took 5 000 sculptors to complete this piece of work and it weighs over 14 million pounds. The height of the statue is symbolic of the 133 chapters of the poet’s famous work, Thirukkural. Take in the colors of the splendid sunset at the ocean’s edge before you end your trip to Kanyakumari. At the end of the tour, you will be driven back to Kovalam and dropped off at your hotel.
