Highlights

Beirut is unlike any other city in the Middle East — a place where a Roman bath sits beside a French Mandate clock tower, where a grand mosque and an Orthodox cathedral stand metres apart, and where a bullet-scarred Civil War hotel overlooks a gleaming Mediterranean marina. This private half-day tour captures it all.
Designed entirely for your group, this tour moves at your pace, stops when you want, and can start in the morning or afternoon to fit your schedule. Your expert local guide brings the city's layered history — Phoenician, Roman, Ottoman, French, and modern — to life at every stop, from the iconic Pigeon Rocks of Raouche to the ancient Roman Baths buried in the heart of downtown.

Itinerary

  • Beirut(途经)

    Admission Ticket Free
Hotel pickup — 9:00 AM or 2:00 PM Your private guide and air-conditioned vehicle collect you from your Beirut hotel at your chosen time. The tour is fully private — no other groups, no fixed pace, no rushing.
  • Pigeon Rocks in Raouche

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Begin at Beirut's most photographed natural landmark — two towering rock formations rising dramatically from the Mediterranean just off the Raouche coastline. A symbol of the city recognised around the world, and the perfect opening image of your Beirut experience. Your guide shares the legends and geology behind one of Lebanon's most iconic sights.
  • Corniche Beirut

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Drive along the famous Corniche seafront promenade to the Manara lighthouse — the beating pulse of everyday Beirut life. Joggers, fishermen, families, and café-goers all share this stretch of Mediterranean waterfront. A brief stop that captures the city's relaxed coastal character before heading into the urban heart.
  • Zaytouna Bay

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
A stop at Beirut's sleek waterfront marina — a striking showcase of the city's cosmopolitan ambition, with luxury yachts, waterfront restaurants, and modern architecture framed by the Mediterranean. A vivid contrast to the ancient city you are about to explore.
  • Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Arrive at the grand Blue Mosque of Beirut — one of the largest mosques in Lebanon, completed in 2008 with Ottoman-inspired domes and four soaring minarets. Dominating Martyrs' Square, it is both a landmark of modern Beirut and a statement of the city's Muslim heritage. Your guide explains its architecture, its construction story, and its significance to the neighbourhood.
  • Al-Omari Mosque

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
One of Beirut's oldest and most historically layered places of worship — originally a Byzantine church, later converted to a Crusader chapel, then an Ayyubid mosque, and finally expanded under the Mamluks. The Al-Omari Mosque is a living architectural timeline of the city's religious history, each layer of stone telling a different chapter of Beirut's past.
  • Saint George Greek Orthodox Cathedral

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Standing directly beside the Mohammad Al-Amin Mosque, Saint George Cathedral is one of the oldest churches in Beirut and one of the most powerful symbols of Lebanese coexistence. The sight of a grand Orthodox cathedral and a grand mosque sharing the same square — and the same skyline — is unique in the Arab world and deeply moving for most visitors.
  • Martyr's Square

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Walk through the historic centre of Beirut's public life — the square that witnessed the 2005 Cedar Revolution, the 2019 uprising, and decades of the city's political heartbeat. Your guide brings the square's turbulent and inspiring history to life, explaining its significance to Lebanon's modern story and its role as a gathering point for generations of Beirutis.
  • Place de l'Etoile

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Stroll through the elegant star-shaped square at the heart of Beirut's French Mandate downtown — centred on the iconic clock tower and lined with beautifully restored sandstone buildings housing the Lebanese Parliament. The architecture here is a seamless blend of French Haussmann, Ottoman, and Levantine styles — and one of the most photogenic corners of the entire city.
  • Beirut Souks

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
Visit the modern Beirut Souks — built over the ancient marketplace and incorporating Phoenician, Hellenistic, and Roman archaeological remains directly into the building's design. Glass floors reveal ruins beneath your feet as you walk. A compelling example of how post-war Beirut chose to rebuild — not by erasing its past, but by making it part of its future.
  • Roman Baths

    10 minsAdmission Ticket Free
The final stop is one of Beirut's most remarkable — a well-preserved Roman bath complex dating to the 3rd century AD, unearthed in the heart of the modern city. Standing here, in the open air of downtown Beirut, looking down at Roman stonework that has survived nearly two thousand years, is one of those rare travel moments that puts the entire city in perspective. A fitting end to a tour that spans millennia.
  • Holiday Inn Hotel(途经)

    Admission Ticket Free
This abandoned Holiday Inn Hotel is one of Beirut’s war landmarks. It was basically built Between 1971 and 1974 when Beirut’s economy was booming and when Beirut was one of the most visited touristic cities of the Middle East. The Holiday Inn was functioning until the Lebanese civil war begun in 1975. The hotel soon became considered a “war zone” in a lengthy time of conflict known as “the Battle of the Hotels” where more than 25,000 combatants were fighting for control over different luxury hotels, including the Holiday Inn as well as the famous Phoenicia hotel. This hotel remains untouched, abandoned, empty, decades after the war, and remains a reminder to the Lebanese population about the horrors of war.
  • Beirut(途经)

    Admission Ticket Free
Return to hotel — approx. 1:00 PM or 6:00 PM Drop-off at your Beirut hotel after half a day that covered Phoenician ruins, Roman baths, Crusader mosques, Ottoman squares, French boulevards, and a Civil War relic — all within one extraordinary city.
