Temple of Heaven Park is a very important scenic spot in Beijing. The Temple of Heaven was a special altar used by emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties to worship the heavens, pray for rain, and pray for a bountiful harvest. It is a famous ancient building in China. The northern part of the altar is circular and the southern part is square, symbolizing "heaven is round and earth is square". The entire altar is divided into two parts: the inner altar and the outer altar. Familiar buildings such as the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests and the Echo Wall are located in the inner altar.
