Cassis discovery - the magic begins to works its wonders when we leave Marseille climbing up over the steep hillsides & tiny roads taking us to the picturesque fishing village of Cassis. The charm of Cassis shows itself as you explore little alleyways & squares edged with colourful fishermen's houses. Following the clifftop road - Route des Crêtes to Cap Canaille, towering cliffs reach a height of 394 meters. This winding road offers spectacular views & exceptional panorama over the sea. Visit a Cassis winemaker to enjoy a tasting of the wines from this small appellation. Returning to Marseille chance to discover the coast road into the city, a visit to La basilique Notre-Dame de la Garde, the iconic cathedral overlooking the city. Finally down to the old port via MuCEM & Fort St Jean.

Cap Canaille is the highest natural cliff in Europe and towers over the bay of Cassis. We drive through taking in as much of the scenery as we can, with frequent stops to enjoy the views and take photographs. (Access is subject to weather conditions as the road is closed when there are high winds - we propose an alternative route when this happens.)Domaine Du Bagnol
