- JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass
With the Tohoku-South Hokkaido Rail Pass, you can enjoy unlimited rides on JR
Hokkaido lines (South Hokkaido area), JR East lines (Tohoku area), the entire
Aoimori Railway Line, the entire IGR Iwate Ginga Railway Line, and the entire
Sendai Airport Transit Line, including limited express trains (including
Shinkansen), express trains, and local trains (including rapid trains) in
ordinary car reserved and non-reserved seats during the validity period. This
saves you the trouble of buying tickets before every trip and eliminates
language barriers.

Purchase Notice
- The pass cannot be used for the South Hokkaido Railway.
- For the valid usage area of the pass, please refer to the official website.
- For pass redemption locations, please refer to the official website.
- The age of a child is determined by their age on the date of purchase, and proof of age such as a passport must be presented.
- Children under 6 years old can travel for free without a reserved seat and do not need to purchase a rail pass. However, a child rail pass must be purchased for children under 6 years old in the following cases:
① When the child occupies a reserved seat in an ordinary car.
② When the child is traveling alone. - Additional fees are required for traveling in Green Cars (first-class cars) or GranClass cars.
- The rail pass is not eligible for youth discounts (including student discounts).
- Each traveler is limited to using 1 JR East-South Hokkaido Rail Pass during their trip to Japan. (You cannot purchase the same type of pass if the validity periods overlap.)
Reminders
Luggage Restrictions: Passengers may bring up to two pieces of luggage, excluding carry-ons and smaller bags, each piece may not weigh more than 30kg and its length, width, and depth may not add up to more than 250cm, while its length may not exceed 200cm
