Walk of approx. 13 Km in the heart of the Laurissilva forest. During the walk you will have the possibility to see the endemic plants and vegetation of the Laurissilva with different bird species. The Caldeirão Verde lagoon is a highlight for those that adventure a swim in the clear waters

OK, on our trip the weather was very poor. Our guide was professional, informative and very careful with the group with the change in weather conditions we experienced. We didn't get the views, and while we certainly got drenched, the experience of the levadas and tunnels was well worth it. This is a historical engineering feat worth seeing.
