The Diolkos was an ingenious, 6–8 km paved trackway built around 600 BC near Ancient Corinth, designed to drag ships across the Isthmus of Corinth.

While Kenchreai served the eastern trade routes via the Saronic Gulf, Lechaion on the Corinthian Gulf served the trade routes leading west to Italy and the rest of Europe. Little is known of its success in increasing trade but because of the length of time it was maintained, it is presumed that it had some positive impact. You Have the options of 3 different Vehicles types: Sedan/ Suv up to 3 adults or family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids - up to 11 years old free) - Minivan ( from 1 to 8 persons - 2 kids/ up to 11 years old free ) - Minibus ( from 1 to 14 persons - 2 kids/ up to 11 years old free). Price varies by Group Size or Vehicle type.
The tour driver is not an archaeological guide to accompany you on your walk to ancient Corinth or museum. If you require an Archaeologist guide to tour the site with you, you need to hire one additionally. Your tour driver provides informative audio documentary, historical details as you travel.
Booking hours: Tour is private & flexible (up to 8 hours). However we only request to have in mind the agreement hours. But if you like to extend it, please make a fair arrangement with your tour driver/ leader. Additional charge per hour is 35€ (Sedan) - 50€ (Minivan) - 65€ (Minibus).
