Highlights

Discover the fascinating underwater seascapes of the Nizuc Reef just off the Cancun coast. Complete the experience by getting a glimpse of the modern art creations belonging the MUSA Underwater Museum, a unique exhibition on the sea bottom.


The journey starts with a relaxing ride through the Nichupte Lagoon and its scenic mangrove forest channels. Once you reach the snorkeling platform, you are just a few fin slaps away from the magical world of tropical corals and colorful fish. Your snorkel tube is brand new and you get to keep it after the adventure.


Follow your guide to the nearby sculptures of the Underwater Museum to witness an art exhibit like no other. Get back on the platform for a brief rest before you jump back in to explore some more of the awe-inspiring flora & fauna.


Best of it all - you can remain on the platform as long as you wish, as the boats shuttle regularly between the marina and the platform.

Itinerary

  • Punta Nizuc

    Depart from the marina, heading south through the Nichupte Lagoon, while enjoying a cold drink. Before reaching the coral reef, cruise through the scenic mangrove channels, home to crocodiles, crabs and a variety of birds. Upon arriving at the snorkeling platform, anchored at open sea and right next to the Nizuc Reef, put on your mask, fins, and lifejacket, and splash in for an exciting snorkel exploration. Follow your guide across the surface, observing the fascinating, colorful corals and tropical fish. To make the experience even more memorable, check out the sculptures of the world-famous Underwater Museum, scattered across the sea bottom. Back on the platform, relax under the sun before hopping in for some more snorkeling on your own. Feel free to stay all day long, as shuttle boats operate regularly between the marina and the open-sea platform.
