We bring you in the hearth of Siberut national park in Indonesia to meet the Mentawai tribe.
Departure only on Tuesday and Saturday with Mentawai fast (fast boat).
Mentawai people lives in the jungle in harmony with nature. They are animist and believe that each things has a soul.
They loves tattoos and jewelry.
Their tattoos are one of the oldest tattoos in the world.
Let's try this adventure and come to discover this amazing people.
Meet with the last shamans of Siberut, come and share a bit of their daily life in mutual respect and tolerance.
With them, you will discover their unique and close to nature way of life, you will follow their daily activities such sago preparation (their main food), fishing in the river or preparing poison for their arrow.
But before all, it will be a stay rich on "sharing experience" with the Mentawai family with who you are gonna spend few days.
We support Kolibri association, by sharing with them 3% of the amount .This money goes directly to the association to help disadvantaged children in Sumatra.

Departure to Siberut from Padang
Padang
6 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeEarly wake up and fast boat at 7am to reach Siberut island. Arrival at midday at Sikabaluan harbor where we can have lunch, the arrival at 1:30 pm to Maileppet, little harbor in Siberut island.Muntei
6 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeYour local guide drop you to Muntei, small village nearby the harbor where you can rest and wait while he is going to by all supplies for the trip and ask permit to local authority to enter the national park. Then we take a motorized canoe and up the Reirekek river during 1h - 1:30 until the forest. Then walk for 2h or more to reach the "uma", the traditional Mentawai house. Once arriving at the "uma", we can spend the rest of the day exploring, resting and get to know the Mentawai family. Dinner and overnight in inhabitant.- AccommodationsOvernight at inhabitant house, the "uma", under mosquito net.Food And DrinksLunch - Lunch around midday at Sikabaluan habor at local Minang food restaurant.Dinner - Dinner with the Mentawai family.

4 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeIn the morning, goodbye to the Mentawai family and walk again in the jungle, take the motorized canoe down the river and back to Muntei village. Lunch at Muara siberut (local restaurant) while waiting the fast boat.Padang
3 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeWe take the fast boat at 3pm, back to Padang city. Approximative arrival between 6 and 6:30pm. Transfert to your hotel.- Food And DrinksBreakfast - In the jungle : pancakes, omelet, tea and coffee, local food.Lunch - Lunch at Muara Siberut (local restaurant).
