Highlights
Rafflesia Rainforest Reserve is undoubtedly the best place to see the world's biggest flower; it is located in Crocker Range near the village of Tambunan, approximately 1 hour drive from Kota Kinabalu.
This park is dedicated to rafflesia, world’s largest bloom. The park has nearly twelve different species of the flower and the species can be found only in Sumatra and Borneo. Rafflesia is parasitic in nature and grows in the jungle vine stems. However, the blooms grow up to a size covering one meter in its diameter. The reserve at Sabah has several species that are found uniquely in Sabah.

Admission Ticket FreePick up from the city hotel at 0830~0900hrs. About 2 hours’ drive journey through the scenic view within Crocker Range Park to Tambunan Rafflesia Centre which located conveniently by the roadside and is only 58km from Kota Kinabalu.Tambunan Rafflesia Reserve
2 hoursAdmission Ticket IncludedUpon arrival, registration and brief by the in-house guide. There are eight trails for trekkers including a Rafflesia Trial that leads to the flowering sites. The information centre is well equipped as a tourist center. For those who do not wish to go jungle trekking or to see the original Rafflesia in full natural bloom, the center provides information and there are also replicas of Rafflesia, in their true shapes and colors. Souvenir items like replicas of Rafflesia, key chains, T-shirts and books are also available at the center.Kota Kinabalu(途经)
