Highlights
This two day trek leads across the Ouirgane National Park. Ouirgane area is significant because of its red colour; its slopes are covered with juniper trees and dotted with traditional flat-roofed houses made of stone. One of the villages has a big hammam (steam bath), which can be visited as a part of the trekking route. The big waterfall is one of the highlights of this hike.
This trek offers a chance to experience a Berber way of living, eat local tajine and enjoy the tranquility of the mountains.
Itinerary
Aguersioual Village (1650m) – Matate Villages & Plateau – Oudite Pass (2219 m) – Azzadene Valley – Tizi Oussem (1850m)

5 hoursAdmission Ticket FreeThe trek starts at Aguersioual; here your transport will bring you where the guide and mule team will be waiting. After a welcome mint tea, the luggage stowed on the mules, the trek will begin. Leaving the valley, the trail rises up through walnut groves to the village of Mattat and on up to the pass of Oudite. As always there are incredible views of the valleys and surrounding peaks. Lunch will be on the plateau.
