It was constructed by Raja Jaisal, Rajput ruler in 1156 AD. It ranks among the largest forts in the world. The golden and yellow mixed sandstone offer magical look into the fort which sits high about the sand. It features 99 turrets and displays Rajasthani architecture, which is a spectacular sight especially at night.
