This tour was the highlight of my trip in Siem Reap, not just because of the history, but definitely because of the people, too. My 1st day tour was Sayon, and he patiently led a group of four solo travelers, a couple, and two pairs of friends. Sayon is knowledgeable and he explained how tour guides in Cambodia had to learn history deeply and he showed what he learned during the tour. During Day 1, we went to the famous temples and Sayon took really great pictures! The 2nd day was supposed to be a big group tour, but there were only 5 of us and all were ladies (two-pair of friends and a solo traveler). Nevertheless, not for long, we became one group of friends who came for the same reason: to learn about history and culture in Angkor Wat. To achieve that, we were so lucky that we had Sam, or as we called him, Guru Sam, as our guide. He is like a walking encyclopedia who is also full of humor and passion for his country. He explained the historical and religious aspect with great details. When he spoke about how the hospital and medical school was arranged during the reign of King Jayawarman VII in the 12th century, we were so amazed at the king's wisdom and forward thinking. Sam also explained in a way that encouraged us to ask questions and understand with our heart and mind. When we saw the sunset, we all shared how this was the best sunset, the best trip, with the best people!! Oh it was so hard to say goodbye to my new friends, and definitely our Guru Sam. Thank you Sam, and the operators, that put ALL LADIES together. We love this experience so much! And definitely thank you, Sayon, who worked so hard with the random group on the 1st day!

Wonderful, informative, enjoyable.

The sunrise in Day 1 was breathtaking, definitely worth a catch. In addition, the guided tour afterwards by the knowledgeable Mr Rith was an insightful experience into the beauty and genius behind the temples' architecture. Day 2 sunset is dependent on the weather, which was cloudy at the time so did not manage to catch it. Overall, still glad to have signed up for the guided tour for a more complete appreciation of the whole place.

Very interesting experience with good guides. Full on with 8 or 9 hour days and a lot of heat and humidity, but worth it.
