In this tour of the ancient city of Athens, we will learn about the history and archaeology of the ancient city. We will learn how ancient Athens was created, how the temples of Athena were constructed on the Acropolis hill and what was their function. We will also explore the sanctuaries of Dionysos and Asclepios and learn more about the religious festivals of the ancient city. At the Acropolis Museum, we will see the artifacts of the Acropolis area and the sculptural decoration of the Parthenon and understand more about the ancient world. We will finish the day with a visit to the ancient Agora, the center of the ancient city.
