The summit of Kedarkantha (3810m) trek lies in the Govind wildlife sanctuary and National park. The park is situated in the Uttarkashi district of the hill state of Uttarakhand A classic around the year trek Kedarkantha offers thick snow cover in the winters and lush green meadows in summer months. The road head of Sankri (where the trek starts is a beautiful drive through the hill towns of Mussoorie, Purola, Mori, and Natwar most of them which lie on the banks of Tons river.
The total trek distance is 20kms which involves beautiful and lush forests and vast meadows. The trek offers everything from lakes (frozen in winters) to lush flora and fauna, snowcapped peaks and much more. The trek is beautifully done all year round apart from monsoons.
