A Day of Thrill and Spill at Wild Wild Wet Water Park

Wild Wild Wet is one of Singapore's largest water parks, located at 1 Pasir Ris Close in Downtown East. With 14 water-based attractions spread across the park, it offers everything from adrenaline-pumping rides to relaxing, gentle ones. Some newer attractions, like Kraken Racers, Royal Flush and Torpedo, took things to a whole new level when they opened, as they became the rides that are actually worth queuing for.

The Rides and Water Slides That Get Your Heart Going

Start with the big ones. The Torpedo is a free fall from a 6-storey-high capsule – the first of its kind in Singapore – and it lives up to the hype. Free Fall goes further with a near-vertical drop that's one of Asia's longest water slides. Then there's Royal Flush, Asia's first hybrid ride, where guests ride fast slides with exciting drops in groups of 2 or 4. The Vortex is a high-speed tube ride with a minimum height requirement of 1.22m, and Kraken Racers – Singapore's first four-lane mat racer slide – is exactly as chaotic and fun as it sounds. If you're building a hit list, those five should be on it.

The first raft slide in Southeast Asia, Ular Lah, is worth adding, too. It fits up to 6 people and runs through rapids-style flume sections. The Water Works is a high-speed spinning flume with wacky curves and is a solid pick before working up to the bigger drops. And Slide Up – a four-storey U-shaped ramp where you plunge and soar up the opposite wall – only operates from 3 pm onwards, so time your visit around it. The minimum height for that one is 1.47m.

Other Attractions When You're Done with the Drops

Not everything here is about the drops, even if you're here for the slides. The Shiok River is a lazy river that lets guests float at their own pace – worth doing at least once. There's also the Jacuzzi Pool for those who want to sit still and let the jets do the work. Relaxing water slides fill the middle ground for families who want a bit of both. And the Tsunami wave pool is a good source of fun and balanced experience – the waves come in cycles, strong enough to feel but not so strong that little ones get knocked about. Good experience for the whole family, which can be done together!

Kidz Zone, Sea-The World, and Splash Play for the Little Riders

Kidz Zone is its own section of the park, with pint-sized versions of the adult rides built specifically for younger visitors. It keeps the young ones busy and away from the height restrictions that come with the bigger slides.

Sea-The-World is in a similar space – a water playground with slides and a shallow pool (0.25m depth), kids-only, with a maximum weight of 70kg per slide. Splash Play keeps it even simpler: jets and water sprays are at ground level, with no height requirement, good for the smallest visitors who just want to get wet.

There are still plenty of water-based attractions that work across all ages. Wild Wild Wet has put real thought into making sure no one in a family group is left standing on the sidelines.
