Hop on a bicycle, the Dutch’s beloved mode of transportation, and explore. Pass by the Royal Palace on Dam Square, cycle the Nine Streets (or De Negen Straatjes), and pause for a few quiet moments in Anne Frank’s house.

If art makes your heart beat fast, visit the Van Gogh Museum and the Rijksmuseum, where you can swoon over Rembrandts and Vermeers. For something dazzling, visit the Diamond Museum, honoring Amsterdam’s diamond polishing history.
