Important Notice The Skyrail Cableway will be closed from 25–31 May and 20 July – 18 August 2026 for Stage 1 of the Skyrail 2.0 Upgrade Project. From 19 August – 25 October 2026, Skyrail will operate Wednesday to Sunday with a modified Kuranda to Barron Falls Loop Experience, and tickets during this period will be offered at a lower price than usual.

— What You Can Expect —

Get ready for the scenic trip of a lifetime in Kuranda. Hop onto a Skyrail
cable car and look out over Kuranda's magnificent rainforest, stretching
across 7.5 kilometers.

Feel free to leave the cable car at one of the two relay stations (Red Peak
and Baron Falls) to indulge in a healthful hike through nature. Head to the
Baron Falls observatory and witness the grand 125-meter-high waterfall pouring
down at breakneck speeds.

Pay a visit to the quaint Kuranda Village and explore the many charming gift
shops and stores that sell eye-catching wares such as t-shirts, key chains,
mugs, and more.

Once finished exploring the village, it is time to set foot on the Scenic
Railway and cruise along the verdant rainforest that features over 1,200 kinds
of flora, including orchids, figs, and palm trees.

• Each Skyrail car can accommodate 6 passengers (including infants)
• After the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway ride, travellers will have free time to explore Kuranda Village. Make sure to return to Kuranda Train Station before Kuranda check in time (around 14:00-15:30)
