Explore Madrid’s famed Golden Triangle of Art with the Paseo del Arte Card, granting entry to three of the city’s most prestigious museums, all located within walking distance of each other. This cultural pass offers access to the Prado Museum, home to masterpieces by European painters from the 15th to 19th centuries; the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, featuring a rich collection amassed over 70 years by the Thyssen-Bornemisza family, spanning styles from the Renaissance to modern art; and the Reina Sofia Museum, dedicated to 20th-century and contemporary works, including Picasso’s iconic Guernica.
With one ticket, immerse yourself in centuries of artistic brilliance—from classical realism and baroque grandeur to cubism, surrealism, and abstract expressionism. Whether you’re an art historian, a casual admirer, or a first-time visitor to Madrid, the Paseo del Arte Card offers an efficient and enriching way to experience one of the largest concentrations of world-class artworks in the world.

Visting the Prado and Thyssen Musseums (the most I could manage for this trip to Madrid) were most enjoyable and illuminating due to the intimate encounter with art through paintings (inclusive of iconography), sculptures, artefacts etc spanning hundreds of years! Contemplating the visual feast in the vast collections got a little overwhelming at times thus I suggest spending at least 3/4 of a day and not only a few hours at each place to truly take in the magnificent offerings. The Thyssen Museum offers a QR code against each exhibit for visitors to scan and read up more (or through audio) to better appreciate the work! As the ticket is valid for 1 year, I can still return if possible to visit the third museum. Only at the Prado Museum does one have to head to the ticket office first to obtain an entry ticket by showing the Pelago booking.
